Bipedal robot design tools
In my previous post, I mentioned about my personal project and now, This post is about my work i.e. how I did this design using CATIA v5.
Below are the toolbars of CATIA v5 which I have used for this project
1. Sketcher
· This is used to create a 3d model sketch
Ø Profile toolbar
ü These tools are used to draw structures.
Ø Operation toolbar
ü These tools are used to modify the drawn structures.
Ø Constraint
ü This is used to give dimensions to the sketch.
2. Part design
· In this, we add material to the closed sketch to whatever the depth or dimension we want.
Ø Sketch-based features
ü These features are used to apply or remove material to our 3d sketch.
Ø Surface-based features
ü These features are used to edit the designed object.
3. Dress up features
ü These features are used to modify the object which was designed by using the sketch and surface-based features.
