Step by step representation of designing a car outer shell using CATIA V5R20 Step1 Sketch the front view of car outer shell in sketcher workbench. Step2 Give thickness to the sketch using pad tool which is in part design workbench. Step3 Shell the padded object from the bottom side with required thickness. Step4 Make holes using pocket tool for the padded object to insert doors, windshields, hood and trunk doors.

Assembling and exploding of bipedal robot parts

In my previous post, I posted about designing of bipedal robot using CATIA part design tools and this post is about assembly and exploding of bipedal robot parts. here are the steps I followed Step1 •    Opening assembly design workbench in CATIA software. Step2 •    Adding existed components to the workbench. Note – add the main component first and fix it, after that add remaining components. Step3 •    Joining all added components to the main component using constraints. Step4 •    Checking the movement of joined parts, whether it is moving with respect to the given constraint or not. Step5 •    Exploding the assembled parts.

In my previous post, I mentioned about my personal project and now, This post is about my work i.e. how I did this design using CATIA v5. Below are the toolbars of CATIA v5 which I have used for this project 1.    Sketcher ·          This is used to create a 3d model sketch Ø   Profile toolbar ü   These tools are used to draw structures. Ø   Operation toolbar ü   These tools are used to modify the drawn structures. Bipedal robot design

Until the day before I started this design project, I tried many designs which are already there to get hands-on experience on design software but this is my own design and own interest. I picked this as my personal project. This is a Bipedal robot (humanoid robot) robot design. I got this design after watching many robot designs and I started designing this using CATIA v5 design tools. First, I drafted my idea of robot design and modify according to standard Bipedal robot (humanoid robot) robot parts. After that, I divided it into different parts and designed those parts using CATIA part design tools. After designing all parts I used CATIA assembly design tools to assemble all the parts Here is my final robot parts design and I named this Bipedal robot as BlaKVin .
